The last remodel mile

So we are pretty much done with our remodel, it only cost twice what we thought it would + 20%.

The upstairs bathroom floor was done by Sarah Myers:

Home stretch

We are entering the home stretch in our remodel. The kitchen is nearing doneness, tiles are going up and trim is being put in.

The heat is on

Haven't updated the remodel posts in a while. The heat is finally on in our house. Both our bathrooms are gutted. The kitchen is moving along. Hopefully everything will be done by April. We have stairs from the upstairs to the downstairs, the new windows are in downstairs, and the downstairs is ready for sheetrock.

French drain, basement floor, kitchen patched up

Bunch of stuff happened at the house this week. A french drain was put in outside the foundation, the basement floor is ready for pouring on Monday and the kitchen is nice and square.

Now they are digging out the foundation of the back of my house and repouring the slab. It's super fun to watch your house get demolished. Here is a pic:

House remodel

We are currently remodeling our kitchen and downstairs. The first step in the project was to tear everything down to the studs. Here are some pictures:

We are currently doing our dishes in our bathtub, which gets real old real fast.
